Following are Wonderful Recipes, Entertaing Tips that are Easy, Delicious & Fun to Make and Do
BEST BLACK BEAN SOUP
2 Cans of Bush’s black beans (undrained)
1 Can (16 oz) of chicken broth (2 Cups)
½ Cup of Salsa
1 Tbl. Chili powder
1.Mash 1 can of beans with masher, fork or food processor
2.Pour both cans of beans into medium saucepan (mashed & whole)
3.Add chicken broth, salsa & chili powder & bring to boil. Turn off heat.
You can serve topped with shredded cheese, sour cream, onion or cilantro
CHEESE & SAUSAGE DELIGHT DIP
1 Lb. Hot or Mild Lean Ground Sausage
3 Green Onions with tops – chopped
1 Can (4oz) Rotel Chopped Tomatoes
2 Pkgs. (16oz) Cubed Process Cheese (Velveeta)
1.Brown Sausage & Onion in large skillet & drain off fat
2.Add Rotel & mix together
3.Add Cheese to Sausage mixture & cook on low till cheese melts
4.Serve hot in Chaffing Dish or small Crock Pot to keep hot
I use Restaurant Style Tortilla Chips for dipping
BEER BREAD
1 Bottle (12oz) of Beer
3 Cups of Self Rising Flour
3 Tbl of Sugar
4 Tbl of Butter (1/2 Stick)
- 1. Pour Beer slowly into a bowl
2. Mix Flour and Sugar together & add to the Beer
3. Stir lightly till it just comes together
4. Pour into a Greased Loaf Pan (9×5)
5. Melt Butter & pour over the top of the dough
6. Bake in a 375 degree pre-heated oven for 40-45 Minutes
PORCUPINE CLUSTERS
¼ Cup of white corn syrup
1 (12 oz) package white chocolate morsels
2 Cups of chow mien noodles -(the brown hard ones)
¾ Cup of salted peanuts
1. On low heat, melt corn syrup & white chocolate
2.Pour over chow mien noddles & peanuts in a bowl
and mix well
3.Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax or parchment paper
4.Refrigerate to harden. (30 minutes) Store in air tight container
CAKE MIX COOKIES
1 Cake Mix (I like Duncan Hines) – Your Choice of Flavor
½ Cup of Oil (I use Canola Oil)
2 Eggs
2 Cups of Chocolate Chips, Dried Cranberries, Nuts – Your choice
or a mixture of all
1.Mix Oil & Eggs together and add to Cake Mix & Mix Well.
2.Fold in Chips, etc
3.Drop by Tablespoon on a parchment lined cookie sheet
4.Bake 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees in a preheated oven
5.Don’t overcook
CHEESY ZUCHINI FRIES
1.Mix 1/3 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs, ¼ cup
Parmesan Chees e & ¼ tsp of.salt, in a pie plate
2.Cut 3 zucchini into sticks
3.Dip each stick into milk, then dredge in crumbs,
pressing to adhere
4.Arrange on a rack on a parchment lined baking sheet &
coat Sticks with cooking spray
5.Bake at 425 degrees in a preheated oven for 25 minutes –
turning once
6.Can be used as a side dish or an appetizer with a Ranch Dip
